OUR HISTORY
Father Tom, the founding pastor of our parish, was ordained a priest on April 13, 2002. Father Tom attended Catholic and public schools in Albuquerque; following graduation from high school, he joined the Air Force and worked in hospital administration.
His tour of duty took him to Travis Air Force Base near San Francisco; Yokota, Japan, outside Tokyo; and briefly to Suwon, Korea. While in Japan, he also worked as a bartender and tutored Japanese businessmen in conversational English.

After the service, Father Tom worked with two publishing companies in Albuquerque.
Eventually Father Tom would work his way up in the company to work with the Board of Directors and later as its President.
Father Tom, aside from all the trips and jobs, always knew that there was something bigger out there for him. In 1993, he resigned his job to join the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament.
MISSION
Blessed Sacrament Parish is a Roman Catholic Church in the McKinley Park area. Rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we welcome and nourish all people through the celebration of the Eucharist, uniting us with Christ and one another. Through our practice of faith, we proclaim God's presence, growing together spiritually through worship, prayer, and the sacraments. Together, our call will be to continue the mission of Jesus Christ in the world today.
